Chris Trout, OT, MS, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational TherapistWhen Chris Trout initially joined the Children’s Therapy TEAM family in 2015, he shared, “My passion is to help others… and I really enjoy pediatrics.” Just after completing his undergraduate studies in health promotion and wellness at Missouri Southern State University, Chris initially joined Children’s Therapy TEAM’s Occupational Therapy Department as a student intern.
Chris now holds a Master of Science in occupational therapy from Cox University in Springfield, Missouri. Committed to serving pediatric populations, upon graduation from OT school, coming back home to Children’s Therapy TEAM as a licensed therapist seemed like a natural fit.
Chris Trout loves utilizing play to address therapy goals. He is well known at Children’s Therapy TEAM for making hot summer days come alive through designing outdoor therapeutic water activities.
Serving children with disabilities has been an ongoing highlight of many of Chris’ summers during his graduate studies. As an ARC of the Ozarks camp counselor, he served children with disabilities by facilitating games, field trips, swimming, crafts, and exercise. Through his service he strived to help children become more independent in activities of daily living while enhancing their social skills.
In addition to Chris’ clinical knowledge, he is also a great TEAM member because of his easy smile and generous spirit. When not working, Chris enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, watching movies, and reading books.
