As a winner of the Marian Ross Outstanding Students Award, Cody Leon was recognized by the University of Central Arkansas’ Occupational Therapy program for his demonstration of professional commitment, integrity, leadership, and professional promise. We could not agree more.
When Cody joined Children’s Therapy TEAM last year, we were confident he would shine. This perspective has been repeatedly reinforced by the parents of the children he treats. A TEAM parent recently called Cody’s work with their child, “absolutely amazing.” Another shared, “I think the best compliment I can give Cody is the day my child said, I like the way Cody treats me.”
Beyond impressive interpersonal skills in working with children and families, Cody also has a keen interest in scholarship in the field of occupational therapy. Last month a project he completed with UCA Professor, Dr. Tina Mankey, was presented at the American Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference in Philadelphia. The project highlighted how an OT summer program can promote the health and wellness with elementary students.
