After returning from an international service trip to China last year, Carol Harlan, a Children’s Therapy TEAM Developmental Therapist, said, “Glad to be home, but left part of our hearts in China again!” This sentiment seems to be what drives many Children’s Therapy TEAM therapists to return to countries throughout the world to serve children with special needs year after year.
Special Needs Outreach in China
TEAM Speech Therapist and Chief Operations Officer, Cindy Watson, is kicking off 2016 by returning to serve in China as a TEAMworks Volunteer. This will be her third consecutive year of international travels to serve children in China. She will be joined by Children’s Therapy TEAM Physical Therapist, Lori Hannon. Lori, like Cindy, is a veteran to international TEAMworks outreach having served on multiple past international TEAMworks trips.
TEAMworks therapists took six trips to China in 2015 in addition to serving in Rwanda and Guatemala. They begin 2016 by continuing their commitment to serving children with special needs in China and throughout the world. While in China, both Cindy and Lori will collaborate with Dr. Bo Lin, a board certified physician in pediatric medicine and neonatal-perinatal medicine.
