Jill Whitley was first introduced to the profession of Speech-Language Pathology as a mom. One of her three sons received speech services. As a home school mother for nine years, Jill was integrally involved with every element of her sons’ education and language development. It was this experience, along with Jill’s longstanding love of working with children, that inspired her to pursue a Master’s of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Arkansas. Having graduated in 2015, Jill brings her motherly wisdom and insight as well as her substantial pediatric fieldwork experience to Children’s Therapy TEAM. Jill’s community engagement includes active involvement in the children’s ministry at her church. As a native Arkansan, Jill loves spending time with family in Northwest Arkansas. She also enjoys reading and gardening.
Jill’s clinical fieldwork experience has included treatment of children with feeding issues and children who utilize augmentative communication devices. Additionally, she has assessed and treated children diagnosed with dysphagia, dysarthria, apraxia, voice disorders and hearing impairment. She has supported articulation and fluency as well as cognitive-linguistic, pragmatic and multi-modal communication.
