As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, Kelsie Wideman feels privileged to be able to help children achieve their highest level of independence. With a focused mission of improving the quality of life of children, Kelsie received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 2015. During Kelsie’s studies, she gained valuable treatment experience as a student clinician at the Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital. She has also served as a student clinician at none other than Children’s Therapy TEAM, working under the supervision of Danielle Cunningham, PT, DPT, CCCE, and Christina Ruby, PT, DPT. Additionally, Kelsie has experience with autism treatment as an ABA Implementer with ACT Services in Columbia, Missouri (2012-2014). There she conducted ABA therapy, planned sessions, implemented behavioral plans and monitored progress. Kelsie shares, “I have always had a passion for working with children. I feel like I truly connect with them.” Her broad range of experiences with kids even includes teaching young children ballet, drawing on her background in dance. Kelsie’s philanthropic work has also focused on serving children. She has organized events to grant wishes for children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation (2012) and has served as an adaptive gymnastics coach (2009-2015).
On TEAM Spirit Thursdays, Kelsie will most definitely be wearing black and gold. She comes from a Mizzou family, and her mother, father and brother have all attended the University of Missouri. Kelsie enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Mizzou Tigers.
