Alison Trumpore, MA, CCC-SLP

In 2010 Alison Trumpore received her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders at the University of Washington in Spokane. She comes to TEAM with several years of experience as a pediatric Speech Therapist having served at Bay Cliff Camp, Pathfinder Pediatric Home Care and most recently Geary County Schools where she also had a role as an Intern and Clinical Fellow supervisor. Alison considers herself to be a lifelong word nerd who wishes there were more hours in the day to read. She shares, “I read cookbooks like novels and I cook creatively and even successfully…most of the time!” She adds, “Fortunately my husband and son are very forgiving eaters.” Alison has three sisters and six nephews and thoroughly enjoys travelling to see her family which is spread out all over the country. As a Seattle native Alison loves seafood, trees and coffee!

Alison has a particular interest in phonology development and articulation therapy. She has received intensive training in The Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling Program (Modules 1-10 Training of Trainers Courses, 2013-14). Alison has also completed a workshop led by renowned phonology expert Barbara Hodson (2012). Additionally, attending Pam Marshalla’s Articulation Workshop has inspired Alison to incorporate her methods for guiding children’s development of intrinsic motivation and self-awareness related to articulation.
